Measurement technology of electric and hybrid vehicles and power grids
Due to the global warming and the increasing sensitisation for the scarcity of resources the demand for electric vehicles has reached a new dimension. Politics and consumers claim the development of electric vehicles, also because of the rising oil price.
In future, a vehicle is desired that does not have to accept compromises regarding ecology, cruising range, price, safety, quality, comfort, and driving pleasure. To meet all these requirements an electric vehicle must consider all specific characteristics of this drive concept. All advantages of an electric drive train can only then be used to full capacity if the vehicle concept is extensively re-defined.
New technologies additionally require new suppliers. These have to be integrated in the newly established value-added chain of automotive industry and adequately qualified for this demanding challenge.
Besides, electro-mobility requires brand-new business models concerning general infrastructure. While combustion engines can easily be refuelled nearly everywhere and in short time, refilling stations for current are not available area-wide for a long time yet.
Electric vehicles are just vehicles with another kind of motor. Their extensive market launch leads to a massive change of mobility economy. In order to form this complex change you need to have powerful and competent partners. DEWETRON has gained profound experience in developing a measurement technology for automotive industry for decades.
Already in 1989, DEWETRON worked on the serial development of measurement technology for automotive industry. In the following years, several further products for test benches with electric or hybrid drive were implemented. Due to the development in recent time we have more and more been working on projects focusing on vehicles with electric drive.
